PRESS: Russia seeks to sell 50 SSJ100 planes abroad – official
MOSCOW, Sep 2 (PRIME) -- The Russian government expects to sell around 50 Sukhoi SuperJet 100 (SSJ100) planes abroad, Deputy Prime Minister Yury Borisov said in an interview with business daily Vedomosti released on Monday.
“On the domestic market, according to our estimates, even after the delivery of 100 aircraft to Aeroflot, there will remain the possibility of placing another 40–50 aircraft among airlines of the second or third level. Moreover, according to our calculations, there will be demand for approximately 50 planes on the foreign market,” he said.
It makes a total of around 200 SSJ100 aircraft, which will ensure orders for a long period, he added.
“The situation may change in one direction or another. Everything will depend on how dynamically it will be possible to carry out import substitution and ensure the competitive price of this plane,” Borisov said.
